What you can do to clear your energy

Life is all about energy, the give, the take and the overall flow. To be grounded and without block it is essential we are aware of our energy as acutely as we are something that is physically tangible. Without the awareness of our energy we are simply stagnant and can become stuck.

Part of the awareness of energy is the acceptance we all have moments in life where we feel stuck in a rut, unable to move forward. It could be due to a traumatic experience, a toxic relationship, or simply a sense of being overwhelmed by the daily grind. Whatever the reason may be, it is essential to clear old energy and let go of negative emotions to move on.

For everyone their way of clearing and cleansing negative energy will be different. What works for some, like exercise will not work for others. There are however some common and easily accessible strategies for clearing old energy and releasing negative emotions:

I have recently spoken on this quite extensively in some of my wellness talks and truly believe a foundation of flow is the ability to let go of external stimulus and those things which lay outside of our circle of influence. This sits firmly in the need to practice forgiveness and letting go.

Practice forgiveness: Forgiveness is a powerful tool for releasing negative emotions. It can be challenging to forgive someone who has hurt you, but holding onto anger and resentment only harms you in the long run. Forgiving someone does not mean that you need to rescind their actions and allow them to continue, it simply means you are choosing to let go of the negative emotions associated with the situation.

As Buddah once said ‘ Hatred is like swallow poison and expecting the other person to die’.

Physical space can be easily overlooked as a potential energy block. This does not mean you have to completely purge your space and then label your underwear but, it does mean being conscious of how environment can impact flow. Remember, all things come from and are governed by energy and its flow. I created the Clean Living Series for the exact purpose of clearing space and aligning energy. It started with auditing not only your physical space but your life compartments (your wheel). You have to create the space then form lasting habits to hold them.

Declutter Your Space

Our physical environment can have a significant impact on our mental and emotional state. Cluttered spaces can create feelings of stress and anxiety, making it difficult to focus and move forward. Take some time to declutter your space, get rid of things that no longer serve you, and create a more peaceful and organized environment.

Practicing the quieting of the mind and the deliberate movement of energy within your skin is an amazing conduit to clearing negative energy or even just becoming aware of any blockages. What meditation is for everyone can differ, it does not mean sitting cross legged and naming a mantra for all. For me stillness does not work, but swimming really accesses a meditative state for me with the cyclical breathing and the timed movements. Find what works as your meditation and vibe with it.

Meditate

Meditation is a powerful tool for clearing old energy and reducing stress and anxiety. It allows you to focus on the present moment, quiet your mind, and release negative emotions. Find a quiet space, sit comfortably, and focus on your breath. If your mind starts to wander, gently bring it back to your breath or, move in a way you find yourself without thought other than where you are in this exact moment in time. In your body, in your breath and in space and time.

Self care is possibly the most spoken about in terms of practices to release negative energy. Some will gravitate to massage therapy or having their nails done. Others want a quiet place or a long bath. Self care is a fundamental to wellness living but often overlooked then sought as a magic bullet beauty solution. I would suggest rather focusing on overall balance and wellness.

Practice Self Care

Taking care of yourself is essential for clearing old energy and releasing negative emotions. Make time for activities that bring you joy, such as reading, exercising, or spending time in nature. Take care of your physical health by eating a healthy diet, getting enough sleep, and practicing good hygiene.

Therapy is front page of all journals, workplace WHS notes and peoples lives in general following the impacts of the pandemic on the way of life and how we as a society were mobilised to drastically change what was known to us. I think this focus is a good thing, if any to arise from the crisis but the label therapy does not have to mean seeing a psychologist, it can mean therapeutic writing like journalling or making music and expressing. Whatever it is always know if at any time things seem too much, reach out and connect to others for help.

Seek professional help

If you are struggling to clear old energy and release negative emotions, seeking professional help can be beneficial. A therapist or counselor can help you work through your emotions and provide you with tools to move forward.

So, a little long winded but worth the review in all things to be conscious of in the pursuit of clearing old energy and releasing negative emotions in order to be moving forward in life. By practicing forgiveness, decluttering your space, meditating, practicing self-care, and seeking professional help, you can let go of the past and create a more peaceful and fulfilling future. Remember, it is never too late to start fresh and move forward, it is simply about forming new healthy habits for energy flow and change.
